![]() ![]() In Denny’s honor, a bench will be placed on one of his proud Hole in One Tee Boxes on the Captains Golf Course. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the Chowda Group. His favorite trips included walking the beaches of Normandy and Acadia National Park. He traveled to 47 of the 50 United States and many other countries. ![]() Spending time with his family brought great joy to him. He loved to feed the birds, read, go to the beach, watch UCONN Women’s Basketball and the New England Patriots. Fly fishing was also a hobby he enjoyed with Peggy and their favorite fishing adventure was to New Zealand. Also, he was an avid golfer with three Holes in One at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster! In his younger days you could see Denny running the streets in town and later in life see him and Peggy walking all over town. He was an active volunteer at the Orleans Council on Aging along with helping the Nauset Garden Club with events at Crosby Mansion. He proudly served our country as a Platoon Sergeant in the Connecticut National Guard. He graduated in 1967 from the University of Hartford with a business degree and worked for Aetna for over 30 years. Preceded in death by his brother, Ted Sheehan, and niece, Donna Sheehan. Also he leaves two very special grandchildren, Megan and Mason Holder and three granddogs, Jade, Jasmine and Mia, sister-in-law Marilyn Sheehan and many nieces, nephews, golfing buddies and friends. He leaves behind two cherished daughters, Anne (Derrick Piper) Sheehan of Poland, New York and Lisa (Todd) Holder of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Married 54 years to “The Love of His Life,” Margaret (Peggy) Steffany Sheehan. ![]() Son of Fredrick and Anna (Gallagher) Sheehan. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on June 6, 1944, D-Day, otherwise known as “Denny Day” to his buddies. Denny previously resided in Bristol and Killingworth, Connecticut, before retiring to Cape Cod in 1998. Dennis “Denny” Dwight Sheehan, 76 of East Orleans passed away peacefully on Jat his home surrounded by his loving family following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. ![]()
